Founded in 2019 by Ben Prescott, BPD is a design studio working across Brand and Identity Design, Packaging, Print, Digital, Exhibition and Book Design projects.
We are a team of five working out of our Hackney Downs studio with Vita Wubben-Moy, senior designer, leading projects alongside Ben. Joe, Raphaela and Kumi complete the design team in the studio.
BPD clients include; Mount Street Neighbourhood, St. Clement Hotel, Alex Eagle, Corner Shop at 180 Thames, Heatherwick Studio, V&A, The Lavery, Thames and Hudson, National Trust, Hauser & Wirth, Ben Kelly, Brinkworth Design, Studio Supple, Farshid Moussavi Architects, Broadwick Hotel and Twig Hutchinson, .
Ben Prescott, Director
Ben founded BPD in 2019 wanting to create a design studio based on research, design craft and establishing long lasting partnerships with founders and businesses. He has grown the studio to a team of five over six years with projects of varying scales and types.
Ben was Creative Director and designer at Studio Frith from 2009 to 2019, guest lecturer at the typography summer school 2018 and 2019 and guest lecturer at the Royal College of Art in 2024.
Vita Wubben-Moy, Senior Designer
Vita joined BPD in 2021 and leads design projects alongside Ben in the studio from concept to completion. In 2023 Vita art directed the Marfa Stance x Isabel and Helen campaign alongside Helen Chesner. Other key studio projects have included Thames and Hudson publication African Gaze, the Identity Design for Mount Street Neighbourhood and typography for Hurry Up We’re Dreaming.
Vita was guest lecturer at the Royal College of Art in 2024.
Joe Newing, Junior Designer
Joining the studio in 2023, Joe has worked on identity projects for The Artist Room, Lonika Chande, Takusan and Kinjo. Also creating bespoke cyanotype prints for Kinjo Cobham as part of the signage install.
Raphaela Blake, Junior Designer
Since joining the studio in 2024 Raphaela has worked on projects for Marfa Stance and Marsha Meredith and is currently working alongside Ben on the design of an upcoming cookbook publication, I Mean the Green.
Kumi Allen, Junior Designer
Kumi joined the BPD team earlier this year and is currently working on Identity Design projects with Ben and Vita for Lucy Delius and Scottish based sock brand, Pairs.
